Valentines Day: A Reel Lady Style 2013

Dearest readers, as the females out there know, the biggest commercial holiday of the year is less than a month away.  Yes, little cupids will be flying around grocery stores, and just about every retail establishment you enter soon, so you've been warned.  Now, I'm not the biggest fan of Valentines day, probably because admittedly a little spoiled.  I have a wonderful husband who surprises me year round with flowers, or little gifts, but he doesn't forget Valentines day either, and I would suggest you male readers out there with significant others shouldn't forget Valentines day no matter how much the woman in your life says it's not a big deal.  Here are my favorite festive things this Valentines day.

 - Custom Toms:
Seriously how cute are those?  Not to mention, they are custom so the likelihood of someone else the woman in your life knows having them is slim, which I think it super cool.

Nikon D3200 in red.  I own a DSLR, and absolutely love it.  I know it far outperforms my capabilities, but the quality of photos it takes surpass a regular point and shoot camera which is what I wanted.  I wanted crisper images.  If I would take the time to read the book, I would have better pictures I'm sure.  This camera is a great camera and comes in a fabulously romantic color, and what woman doesn't love being able to capture great moments in life?

Might be the nerd in me, but I think sock monkeys are cute.  This one is especially cute.

I desperately want one of these for my "big hunting pistol."  I love the bright color with the black. Also it would be sweet to have the extra mag holder to match considering our recent infestation of wild hogs, and my inherent 'fraidy cat-ness.  PS - check out Girls Guide to Guns Blog.

This is super cute & functional, unless you are me and have dropped every phone you've ever owned into water, and if that is the case then I suggest a LifeProof case.  Plus, I don't know any women (unless she owns LV stuff), that would be upset with anything from Coach.

I love Victoria's Secret perfume, but if your lovely lady has a perfume she always wears find it and buy more of it.  If not find something in a pretty bottle that you think smells nice, and buy it.
(Side note: make sure it is not glitter perfume.  Hubs bought me Michael Kohrs: Very Hollywood last Christmas that was the glitter version, and it has now been named my "stripper perfume" due to the glitter.  I do love how it smells though).

You didn't think I would leave guns off this list did you?  We all know I'm a sucker for pretty guns, and this one is gorgeous.  I don't think there is a person out there that can argue with the craftsmanship of a Kimber, and there is no denying that this is a sharp pistol.  It's chambered in 9mm, but the bigger frame wouldn't be a problem for me, since open carry is now legal in OK.  My problem would be finding an outfit to match my gun.

Well, you've all had fair warning now, so don't forget that the day of mushy, overdone, craziness is nearing, and if you want go and hide.  No one would blame you!  If not brave work, and hope your sweety doesn't forget, and if they do try and remember it's just another day.
